'The Glory' & 'Mask Girl' Nominated for The Best Foreign Language Series

Netflix’s shows, ‘The Glory’ and ‘Mask Girl’, have been nominated for the Best Foreign Language Series category at the 29th Critics’ Choice Awards. Because the Critics’ Choice Association puts on these awards, which are very important, they are run by the biggest group of critics in North America.

‘The Glory’ is about a woman who was abused as a child and now wants to get back at the people who hurt her. The show has been a huge hit; in the three days after Part 2 came out, over 124 million hours of it were watched. It is number one in 23 countries and number one in the Netflix Global TOP 10 TV (non-English) list.

Another interesting Netflix show is “Mask Girl,” which is about Kim Momi, an office worker who wears a mask at night and gets involved in strange things while working as a BJ on an internet stream. People have talked about how powerful the acts were and how the show dealt with serious issues like bullying and sexism in schools. During the second week it was available, it was number one in the Netflix Global TOP 10 TV (non-English) list.

Now, everyone is waiting for “The Glory” and “Mask Girl” to win the Best Foreign Language Series award at the 29th Critics’ Choice Awards on January 14th.
