Just two days after surpassing 3 million viewers, the movie has now reached the impressive mark of 4 million viewers in Korea. The Korean Film Council reported that as of 12:14 a.m. KST, the film had attracted a total of 4,253,188 viewers.

“12.12: The Day” was originally released on November 22, and it took less than 12 days to achieve this milestone of 4 million viewers. It’s worth mentioning that the film is now the third most-watched Korean movie of 2023, trailing behind “The Roundup: No Way Out” with a total of 10,682,813 viewers, and “Smugglers” with 5,143,103 viewers.

Featuring a star-studded cast including Hwang Jung Min, Jung Woo Sung, Lee Sung Min, and more, “12.12: The Day” tells the story of a real-life military coup that shook South Korea after the assassination of President Park Chung Hee in 1979.
