The Matchmakers, which is written in Korean as 혼례대, is a new South Korean TV show that stars Rowoon and Cho Yi-hyun. The first episode will air on KBS2 on October 30, 2023, and every Monday and Tuesday at 21:45 (KST). It can also be streamed on Viu.

The Matchmakers (2023): Story
Sim Jung Woo is a smart and good-looking young man. He got the best score on the state test even though he was the youngest, and the princess chose him to marry her. Suddenly, the princess died during their wedding.
Sim Jung Woo’s life changed, and he became the worst person in the world. According to the rules of the Joseon era, he can’t get a government job or get married again. After that, he starts dating Jung Soon Deok.
He was the second son of the first vice-premier, and Jung Soon Deok’s late husband was one of them. She has a secret life that she hides behind the name Yeo Joo Daek. She works as a matchmaker and sells cosmetics and other things for women under the name Yeo Joo Daek.
It is said that she helps people find love in Hanyang better than anyone else. They try to find older single men and women to marry by acting as matchmakers. Sim Jung Woo and Jung Soon Deok go out together.

Rowoon is a South Korean singer, actor and model. Kim Seok-woo is his real name. He was born in Seoul, South Korea, on August 7, 1996. His most well-known TV parts are in Extraordinary You (2019), She Would Never Know (2021), The King’s Affection (2021), Tomorrow (2022), The Matchmakers (2023), and Destined With You (2023). Rowoon used to be in the South Korean boy band SF9, but he quit to focus on becoming an actor.
2) Cho Yi-hyun as Jung Soon-deok (Instagram)
Cho Yi-hyun is an actor from South Korea. She first appeared on screen in 2017. She was born in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, on December 8, 1999. Hospital Playlist (2020–2021) and All of Us Are Dead are two of her most well-known roles. She has also been in other TV shows, like School 2021 (2021) and The Matchmakers (2023).
