Like Flowers in Sand (2023): Story
Kim Baek Doo is a member of the ssireum team for the Geosan County Office and does ssireum, a traditional Korean fighting sport. Baek Doo was born into a well-known sireum family as the youngest son. They used to think of him as a genius like a sumo wrestler, but now they don’t. He’s thinking about giving up the sport for good.
Baek Doo meets his old friend Oh Yoo Kyung one day, and his life takes a big turn. Yoo Kyung and Baek Doo went to Geosan County together and grew up there. She starts to work as the head of the management team for the ssireum team, which is about to break up.
At the same time, they have people around them like Joo Mi Ran, the mystery owner of a cafe, and Min Hyun Wook, who just shows up in Geosan County out of the blue and fits right in. Kwak Jin Soo, the new coach of the ssireum team, and Cho Seok Hee, Baek Doo’s best friend and police officer, are also there.
