The new South Korean TV show Welcome to Samdal-ri (Korean: 웰컃투 삼달리) was written by Kwon Hye-joo and will star Ji Chang-wook, Shin Hye-sun, and Kang Young-seok. It will be directed by Cha Young-hoon. It is scheduled for release on JTBC on December 2, 2023, and will air every Saturday and Sunday at 22:30 (KST).

Welcome to Samdalri (2023): Story
Jo Yong Pil decides to become a weather forecaster and protect the older people in his city after losing his mother at a young age because of a bad weather report. His mother was a haenyeo, which means a female diver who gathers sea life. But because he is passionate and won’t let false information go, he is known at work as a stubborn troublemaker who isn’t afraid to fight with his boss.
Jo Sam Dal and Jo Yong Pil grew up together. While Jo Yong Pil is happy to stay in Samdalri, where he grew up, Jo Sam Dal is determined to leave their small town and move to Seoul. It takes Jo Sam Dal years of hard work as an assistant in the fashion shooting business, but in Seoul she changes her name to Jo Eun Hye and finally makes it to the top. But when everything she’s worked so hard to build falls apart in an instant, she goes back to Samdalri, where people still call her Sam Dal and not Eun Hye.
Jo Yong Pil and Jo Sam Dal used to be best friends and couldn’t live without each other. But now, because of something that happened, they don’t talk to each other anymore. But when Jo Sam Dal goes back to Samdalri, they find that the love they had for each other all those years ago comes flooding back.
