Business Proposal TV Series (2022): Story

Shin Ha-ri (Kim Se-jeong), whose friend Jin Young-seo (Seol In-ah) had set up the date, agrees to go on a blind date instead. It is planned that Ha-ri will “get rejected” by her potential mate.

But things go wrong when her date turns out to be Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-seop), CEO of Go Food, the company where Ha-ri works. His grandfather Kang Da-goo (Lee Deok-hwa), the chairman of Go Food’s parent company, wants him to go on blind dates with good candidates for marriage.

To avoid going on the other dates, Tae-moo decides to marry the woman he met on a blind date, even though she is trying hard to hide the fact that she is actually Jin Young-seo or that she works for him.

The real Jin Young-seo soon tells Kang Tae-moo that she “hired” an actor to pretend to be her on her blind date with Tae-moo, which quickly exposes Ha-ri’s fake identity but not her job status. During her conversation with Kang Tae-moo, she meets Cha Sung-hoon (Kim Min-kyu) and learns that Sung-hoon is Tae-moo’s secretary.

Once Ha-ri’s true name is known, Young-seo tricks her into meeting with Tae-moo as he asks. When he asks what her real name is, Ha-ri lies and says it’s Shin Geum-hui, which is the name of the main character in the famous TV show Be Strong, Geum-hui (Korean: 굳세얼라 금희얼). to hide the fact that she works for him.

Because his grandfather says he will send Tae-moo on a lot of blind dates, he tricks and bribes Ha-ri into claiming to be his fiancée in exchange for 800,000 won per date.

The short on cash Ha-ri really needs the money to help her parents, who are always broke, so she agrees. Ha-ri uses her new identity and a fake background that Tae-moo and Sunghoon made for her to make a good first impression on Tae-moo’s grandpa while she is fake dating.

At first, the relationship is cold and awkward, but it quickly warms up until Tae-moo finds out who Ha-ri really is. Even though he feels misled, Tae-moo still loves Ha-ri. They later got married after he told her the truth about who she really was.

In the meantime, Young-seo moves out of her dad’s house to avoid having to go on blind dates. She finds out that she is now Sung-hoon’s neighbor, the man she fell in love with at first sight when she met him at a convenience store, in a funny scene involving a cockroach.

Young-seo likes him, but Sung-hoon is mad at her for lying to his boss, so he tries to stay away from her all the time. Still, he can’t deny his feelings for Young-seo growing stronger when he finally sees it, and the two of them end up together.
