Bae Jong-Ok is a South Korean actress who was born on May 13, 1964 in Seoul, South Korea. After being hired by KBS, she made her acting start on TV. Since then, she has worked in theater, movies, and TV.

At the same time that Bae was working as an actor, she finished her PhD at Korea University. Her thesis was about how production teams cause people to react on the internet.

Since 2003, she has been a visiting professor at Chung-Ang University, where she teaches Theater and Film Studies. Bae has been in a lot of movies and TV shows over the course of her work.

Among her well-known books are “The Last Blossom” (2011), “Jealousy Is My Middle Name” (2002), “The Chase” (2017), and “Innocence” (2020).

The South Korean crime drama movie “Innocence” was written and directed by Park Sang-hyun. Shin Hye-sun, Bae Jong-ok, and Heo Joon-ho are in the movie. It came out on June 10, 2020.

A lawyer named Ahn Jung-in (played by Shin Hye-sun) protects her mother when she is wrongly accused of killing someone at her husband’s funeral. The movie is based on a true story. In the movie, Bae Jong-ok plays Chae Hwa-ja.
